Open Day 30-03-14

The Open Day held on Sunday 30th March at the Lancaster Boys and Girls Club was a great success with some very welcome new faces. There was also some great support from the young people who volunteered their time and energy not only on the day but also with the preparations, so much so that we were able to raise £ 198.79 for Club funds.

Over 50 people enjoyed the afternoon tea provided and we received comments such as " The Club looks really good today - for the event, with daffs and tablecloths and doyleys ! Well Done!!"

Young visitors to the Club were given the opportunity to make a card and small gift for their  Mums for Mother’s Day which was very well utilised.

The jamming session before the main act was also very popular with a wide range of musicians taking part and there was quite a crowd of people who enjoyed the sessions.

The main performance was from  Daniel John Martin & Gary Potter’s new UK Quartet in the style of Django Reinhart's Hot Club de Paris who certainly entertained a significant crowd. Their range of music was of a very high standard and got lots of toes tapping.
