Thursday Junior Youth Club:

Thursday continues to still be a popular session, regularly seeing numbers between thirty and forty young people. All staff and volunteers alike are on hand to engage and participate in a range of sporting activities such as football, dodgeball, basketball, pool, snooker and table tennis. Other non-sporting activities include arts and crafts and baking/decorating. During the year, cultural and special dates are recognised, particularly through arts and crafts.

Competitions take place to encourage the young people to engage in healthy competition whether it is through sport or arts and crafts sessions.

Friday Night Club:

We are currently funded through Francis C Scott Charitable Trust to run the FNC for seniors. We currently have around 10 young people that come on a Friday from the different areas of Lancaster and Morecambe. Young people come and mix together to enjoy the club and all its activities.

Saturday Sports:

Each Saturday we run a sports session from 5pm till 8pm, with ages of young people varying from eight to sixteen, along with a wide range of different ethnicities that all have different ideologies in and out of sports. Luckily, these sports sessions are well established in the Lancaster Boys and Girls Club. Old members welcome the new members with true team spirit.

Each session is pre-planned per week by staff members, but the members are encouraged to give us their ideas and opinions on what sports they want to participate in. We also highly encourage the members to share new activities that they have learnt of and we empower them to lead these activities.

Through Saturday Sports, we as a team understand the importance of the psychosocial development of young people.
