News : MAP Monday Evening Sessions

We have received funding from the Galbraith Trust for a year to run MAP sessions on a Monday evening starting on 10th September from 6.30 - 8.30pm at Lancaster Boys and Girls Club.  This is free to all attend.
We are offering places from young people going into year 7 and year 8 to help with the transition from primary to high school and to help deal with issues that they may face as they come into teenage hood.

The aim of MAP will be to focus on issues that affect young people and to provide a space for activities that will develop leadership and skills.  For the new term we have Lou Andrews from Lancashire Association for Boys and Girls Club coming to work on an 8 week programme focusing on their own digital stories - stories they feel passionate about.

After the digital storytelling project we aim to focus on issues such as mental health wellbeing such as coping with stress; anxiety; strategies for emotions etc. using team games, media, discussions and art and drama.

There is also enough funding to provide a free trip during 1/2 terms (October; February 7 May).

Please contact the club to book a place.
