Summer Schemes and Playschemes

Playschemes:

Lancaster Boys and Girls Club works in conjunction with CEEP to provide for a fun summer of activities which runs for four weeks for young people aged 8-11 years in Lancaster and Morecambe. The playschemes cover both Lancaster (The Ridge, Ryelands and the Castle Ward) and Morecambe (Heysham and Poulton). Activities include art, music, sports, trips to a Zoo, learning experiences and engaging trips to climbing, walks and activity centres. Venues include Morecambe Bay Primary School, Bay Leadership Academy, the Ridge Community Centre and Our Lady’s Catholic College. For more information email playscheme@ceep.org.uk

Summer Schemes:

Over the summer we provide trips and activities for young people ages 12-18 years who attend Lancaster Boys and Girls Club. During school holidays we offer sessions for young people and provide trips both locally and regionally. The trips offered are both local and regional to ensure that we can provide lower cost trips for the members from lower income families.

We also work with schools, councils and other voluntary organisations to help young people access further education. This is done by working with local partners in order to extend the variety of sessions offered which includes other activities being offered, like football tournaments, a pool tournament, eGaming days and activity days.
